Equalities Policy

This policy is designed to ensure that spiceheads.co.uk complies with its obligations under equality legislation and demonstrates our commitment to treating people within these categories, equally and fairly.

spiceheads.co.uk is unreservedly opposed to any form of discrimination on the grounds of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage or civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex and sexual orientation (defined as Protected Characteristics).

Scope of the policy
The policy applies to:
Anyone who makes a post on the spiceheads.co.uk website, group or blog.
Anyone who makes a comment on a post on spiceheads.uk website, group or blog.

Direct discrimination.
When a page follower is treated less favorably than someone else because of their:
• sex
• marriage or civil partnership
• gender reassignment
• pregnancy and maternity leave
• sexual orientation
• disability
• race
• religion or belief
• age

Discrimination arising from disability
This is where a disabled person is treated unfavorably because of something connected to their disability where it cannot be objectively justified. This only applies where the follower knew or could reasonably be expected to know that the person was disabled.

Although most people in the above categories are not protected under the act, some of them may be covered in other ways, such as Invisible disability’s and some care should be taken when commenting on posts that may have such people featured in them.

Breaches of the Equality and Diversity Policy
Any breaches of this policy, by anyone posting or commenting on this website, group or blog. will result in the post or comment being removed, and the perpetrator being  reported to world press and being banned from the website, group and blog.

Reporting discrimination / potential discrimination.
anyone who feel that they have suffered any form of discrimination should raise the issue with spiceheads.co.uk admin team via email on the contact page who will deal with the matter accordingly.
